You are invited to an exclusive virtual Media Hub event with actor John Altman (aka ‘Nasty’ Nick Cotton). John will be talking to producer Helen Quigley from B7 Media about his life and career.

From the moment John exploded onto our screens in 1985 as Nasty Nick Cotton, he changed the face of TV villains for good. The son of Dot Cotton, his role in the BBC soap spanned 30 years. But there is more to John's story than just Nick Cotton - he will be sharing anecdotes about the challenges he has faced in his personal life, including his descent into alcoholism and his marriage breakup.

So, do join us on Thursday, September 10th for what promises to be a brilliant evening. After John Altman's interview, there will be a Q & A.

The Media Hub was founded 7 years ago by two Cookham-based journalists, Sarah Parfitt and Sarah Rodi. It is the south-east’s leading group of media professionals and includes print journalists, producers, directors, writers, bloggers, actors, photographers, media trainers and consultants.

Previous Media Hub guest speakers have included Theresa May, Princess Esmeralda of Belgium, Tim Brooke-Taylor, Dotun Adebayo and Sandra Martin. The group normally meets quarterly at the Bel & The Dragon in Cookham - sadly on this occasion it wasn't possible due to Covid-19 restrictions.
