Event description

Description

It was once the biggest television factory in the world - the old BBC Television Centre in Wood Lane, White City.

It has since been sold by the Corporation and redeveloped into expensive flats, a new Soho House Club, BBC Studioworks and the home of BBC Worldwide who sell the programmes.

Join us for a very special evening with a discussion, some drinks and tours of some of the new facilities.

The centrepiece at 7 pm will be a discussion in the Old TV Centre reception chaired by former media editor of The Times Raymond Snoddy. The panel will include:

  • Tim Davie, CEO of BBC Worldwide and Director Global
  • Kim Shillinglaw, Director of Factual at Endemol Shine UK and former controller of BBC 2
  • Sir Peter Bazelgette, Chairman of ITV

Before and after the discussion there will be small tours of Soho House, BBC Studioworks, the new flats (tbc) and BBC Worldwide.

For reasons of BBC security please indicate the name of each ticket holder where more than one ticket is acquired, as admittance will only be gained for those with individual security passes.

Book early as tickets are expected to sell out quickly.

6 pm for 7 pm

Tickets: £20.00 Guests and Non-Members, £15.00 Media Society Members & £10.00 Students
