The Mental Capacity Act in children’s work

This session will explore the relevance of the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) when working with children and their families. The issue of adult capacity can be a particular issue in relation to the care of children. In addition, the
application of the MCA to young people aged between 16 and 18 means it isimportant for social workers in children’s services have an understanding of this piece of legislation.
