In this class you’ll learn about the health benefits of eating fermented foods, discover 'what is fermentation?' and create your very own Kimchi and Lacto Ferment to take away and continue fermenting at home.

We chat about what to eat with your homemade ferments, what other vegetables you can use and have a little tasting of what to expect yours to turn out like in the end.

Your host Kylee Newton, owner of Newton&Pott and author of The Modern Preserver, will take you through the process, teach you little about the history of fermentation, what to do once you get it home and also some troubleshooting tips on where it might go wrong. The course is designed to take the fear out of home fermentation, discover why it’s better to make at home and to proceed with the confidence needed around such words as 'bacteria' and 'sterilisation'.

There will be an opportunity to buy Newton&Pott products on the day and purchase a copy of Kylee’s book The Modern Preserver, so bring a tote bag to bring all your makings and purchases home with you.
