Kylee Newton is founder of preserving brand 'Newton&Pott', author of 'The Modern Preserver' and winner of a 'YBF' award for her pickles and work with preserving. She has been on radio and TV heroing this ancient skill and is seen as being a master in her field of preserving the seasons.

This is an intensive afternoon day covering four popular preserving techniques for those how are ready to embrace all that preserving has to offer plus a light homemade lunch incorporating preserves into everyday meals.

Your host Kylee Newton has over 7 years experience and will take you through the extensive processes of making seasonal Chutney, Jam, Pickles and a Red Cabbage Sauerkraut, while teaching the importance of giving your fruit and vegetables longevity in a modern day kitchen. Plus all the health benefits they can have to your everyday diet. We will cover the history of preserving food, while discovering a good sterilization practice for longer lasting preserves.

It is a relaxed 5/5.5 hour hands-on intimate course of 8 students in Newton&Pott’s production kitchen in Hackney. Join us to make artisanal treats which you get to take home to eat or to gift to friends giving you the confidence to make in your own kitchen everyday.

Kylee's book 'The Modern Preserver' will be available for sale as well as a range of Newton&Pott’s chutney’s, jams and pickles.
