This hybrid conference showcases the use of participatory research across disciplines providing opportunities for learning and networking
About this event
Participatory research has a long tradition at ARU through the work of Richard Winter and Prof. Carol Munn-Giddings, who founded the Participatory Research Group (PRG) in 2005 . To celebrate and showcase our innovation in this area the PRG invites you to join us for a half-day conference to hear how participatory research is being used across different disciplines and faculties within ARU. Please note this flyer is for online registration only.
Beyond ARU our two keynote speakers are :
• Prof. Rachel Thomson from the University of Sussex, who will reflect upon her use of participatory research in childhood and youth studies and
• Dr Ali Hanbury from the Collaborative and Participatory Methodological Special Interest Group (MSIG) based at NCRM (National Centre for Research Methods) who will speak about the wider MSIG work supporting those interested in or carrying out participatory approaches in research.
This conference offers opportunities for networking and collaboration and to find out how participatory approaches may be used in your discipline.
