Led by the magnificent Michael Anthon Phillips, who sounds so uncannily like Bob Marley it’s enough to give your goosebumps goosebumps, this superb seven-piece have worked with a long line of reggae royalty that goes from the Desmond Dekker through to Dennis Brown.
Although there are numerous Wailers tribute bands, nobody channels Marley’s natural mystical spirit quite like Michael Anthon Phillips and his band. From beautiful ballads like No Woman No Cry and Three Little Birds through to irresistible roots rockers such as Jammin’ and I Shot The Sherriff, this is a deliciously deep dive into the most iconic songbook in reggae.
