About Geoff Robb

Geoff was the winner of the 2018 Brighton Fringe Live Music Award and his compositions blend his classical training and his love of Spanish and Celtic music.

“The idea for this project came to me in October 2018 when I had a few days alone with my guitar on the Outer Hebrides. I was working on a piece called ‘The Willow’ and had the idea to write a suite of pieces about different trees.

Each piece of music is inspired by a different tree and Geoff has tried to capture the essence of the tree and portray this through his guitar. He says, “there is something very magical about being with a tree – connecting, listening and waiting for musical ideas to come.”

He has also spent time researching the tree's uses and folklore.

Geoff has performed to audiences all over the UK and beyond at venues including Buckingham Palace, The Houses of Parliament and Glastonbury Festival.
