This retreat is designed for intermediate to advanced pianists who want to improve their skills and enjoy a beautiful, immersive experience.

2.	Who will be teaching the masterclasses?

The retreat is led by Professor Petras Geniušas, a renowned pianist and teacher who graduated from The Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory where he studied under professor Vera Gornostaeva. Petras is a professor at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre and The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

What is included in the Full Participation Package?

Accepted Answer

The Full Participation Package includes masterclasses, Pilates sessions, concerts, cultural trip, meals, 7 nights accommodation, and transport (from/to Palermo).

What is included in the Observer Package?

Accepted Answer

The Observer Package includes access to masterclasses (as a spectator), Pilates, meals, cultural trip, gala concert, and 7 nights accommodation (without active participation in the piano masterclasses).

What type of accommodation is provided?

Accommodation is in a traditional hotel, with the option of single or double rooms.

When is the cultural trip?

Accepted Answer

The cultural trip to Agrigento, including a cooking class, is on Thursday. (Optional for Observer Package participants.)

What are the Pilates sessions like?

The Pilates sessions are held at sunrise in the castle, focusing on stretching and posture to complement your musical experience.

Can I participate in the concerts?

If you have the Full Participation Package, you can perform in the gala concert on Saturday evening. Observers can attend the concert as spectators.

How do I get to the retreat?

Transfers are provided from Palermo to the retreat location on arrival and departure days (Sunday 17 Aug and Sunday 24 Aug).

What meals are provided?

Accepted Answer

Daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided, with meals at the castle and local restaurants, including a special Sicilian party with cannoli-making.

Is there a dress code for the retreat?

There is no formal dress code, but we recommend comfortable clothing for Pilates and practice sessions, and smart attire for the gala concert.
