Join the wild and wacky Tanky Smith, Leicester’s renowned policeman, inspector, and private detective, on an intriguing journey. Step into his shadowy Victorian world, brimming with clever disguises and hidden secrets of Leicester.

Theatre on the GO is based on historical facts and stories of Tanky Smith.

Age guidance:

Theatre on the Go is designed primarily for an adult audience; however, we warmly welcome children and family members to experience the magic of our performances together. Please note that the experience involves walking approximately 1.5 miles.

Meeting Point: 121A London Rd, Leicester LE2 0QT (outside Pizza Hut).

The experience will cover the distance from 121A London Rd, Leicester LE2 0QT (start of the tour) to Leicester Train Station, Town Hall Fountain, and conclude at The Guildhall Museum (end of the tour).

The walking theatre, including stops, will last approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.
