Event description

Description

Since its inception in 2005, the annual NATE Initial Teacher Education Symposium has provided a unique and unmissable opportunity for anyone interested or involved in English teacher education. This year the central topic will be the place of subject knowledge in ITE; and amongst the speakers exploring this theme will be: Marcello Giovanelli of Aston University; Jess Mason of Sheffield Hallum; Robert Eaglestone of Royal Holloway, University of London; Ian Cushing of UCL; Richard Long of St. Michael's School in High Wycombe; and Barbara Bleiman of EMC. The event will also provide a chance both to hear about current research projects, and to discuss the issues they raise about English teaching and the education and training of teachers of English. A ticket to the symposium also enables you to visit the Anglo-Saxon Kingdoms Exhibition at the British Library on the day for no extra cost (ticket prices for this are usually £16).
