This event is a platform from which to launch the research of Dr Susie Balderston from Lancaster University. This research was commissioned by Lankelly Chase Foundation to report on the social policy and advocacy impact of a funded role which co-ordinates a sex worker outreach project. The event will look forward to systemic changes in approaches to street sex work and addiction, for criminal justice, community, health and social work professionals.

Keynote speakers include:

Sylvia Walby OBEFAcSS FRSA, Distinguished Professor of Sociology
and Chair, UNESCO Centre for Violence and Society
Dr Susie Balderston, Research Fellow, Lancaster University
Angus Macpherson - Police and Crime Commissioner
Charlie Armstrong - HMIC

The conference will look at the impact the project has had on partnership approaches to local policing, reducing stigma and supporting women. There will be presentations from practitioners and the day will include a creative exhibition from women involved in street based sex work. Throughout the day presentations will focus on; Whole System, Whole Situation and Whole Self.
