Getting to the page and staying there can be tough for any writer, whether you are an academic, novelist, poet or freelancer.
Following the amazing response to the first series, Amanda Marples is excited to announce four new sessions for writers who are neurodivergent, or think they might be. These sessions will explore more of the most common challenges for ND writers, why they arise and more importantly what you can do to overcome them, so you can stop the self-blame and get back on the page where you belong.
You do not need a diagnosis to attend. Over 18s only.
Taking place in-person fortnightly, the Neurodivergent Writers Toolkit 2 is a series of four further sessions exploring even more common areas of challenge for ND writers.
Writing To The End: Be honest. How many unfinished writing projects are lurking on your hard drive or in notebooks scattered all over the house? Having a pile of unfinished work can be soul-destroying and make you think you don't have what it takes, but it isn’t true. It’s also not your fault. In this final session you will learn your amazingly complex brain, why sometimes it's perfectly okay to have more than one thing bubbling away at once and how to get through the boring bit in the middle and get your writing over the finish line.
These sessions are seminar style rather than a space to workshop or get feedback on your own writing. You will have the opportunity to share and discuss the difficulties you might be having on the session topic, and you will leave with a solid set of tools to overcome them.
Sessions are designed to stand alone and can be purchased individually. You can also block purchase all 4 sessions at a reduced price. Please see here for details of the other sessions in this series.
These sessions are brought to you by Amanda Marples, neurodivergent published writer and mentor.
