The New Black Film Collective: DSA Screenings

Tuesday 16th December, 6:30-8pm

Durham Street Auditorium, RSA House

Following our sold-out screening in October, we’re thrilled to bring you another evening of cinema and conversation with The New Black Film Collective.

Join us as we continue to shine a spotlight on fresh creative voices and stories that challenge, inspire and entertain.

This screening once again brings together audiences and filmmakers to explore powerful narratives and celebrate the diversity of Black storytelling.

We’ll begin with opening remarks before diving into four exceptional short films:

  • Simisola Akande – The Archive: Queer Nigerians
  • Adekemi Roluga – Fragments
  • Joan Iyiola Dọlápọ̀ Is Fine
  • Jeremiah Towolawi – Missed

After the screenings, stick around for a lively Q&A with the filmmakers, where you’ll hear firsthand about their creative journeys, inspirations and the themes that shaped their work.

This shorts programme and Q&A are part of The New Black Film Collective’s Nolly-Oh! Tour, celebrating filmmakers of Nigerian heritage and their contributions to global cinema.
