The first of its kind, this immersive programme is a deep dive into ‘the new era’ of Bordeaux and will include sessions taken by some of the region’s leading and most renowned chateaux, including Chateau Guiraud, Chateau Haut Bailly and Chateau Lynch Bages.

The programme will include information not readily available to the public and a depth of knowledge typically reserved for those within the chateaux walls. It will also cover evolving trends and producer philosophies so that participants are equipped with the tools to source the most compelling Bordeaux wines for their customers.

The four week school will cover four topics:

“It’s all about that terroir” – Reinventing Bordeaux’s approach to wine and enhancing the terroir diversity. ( Ch. Haut Bailly, Pessac-Leognan)

“Hot Stuff” – Challenges and opportunities caused by global warming. (Ch. Guiraud, Sauternes)

“Tomorrow never knows” – Reviewing the latest oenological and technological innovations that have been introduced in Bordeaux Grands Crus, paving the way to the future of winemaking. (Ch. Lynch Bages, Pauillac)

“Mercy Mercy Me” – What efforts and actions have been implemented to develop sustainability in vineyards and wineries. (Ch Beychevelle, St Julien)

The School will commence on 18th November and will take 18 participants.

The deadline to register interest is 14 October 2024. There will be a selection process to confirm the 18 spaces.

Candidates must have a minimum of WSET Level 3 or equivalent and will be subject to a selection process.
