The New Breadline: A Conversation with Jean-Martin Bauer

The New Breadline: A Conversation with Jean-Martin Bauer

By The Hague Humanity Hub

Overview

Join us for an evening of reflection as humanitarian Jean-Martin Bauer discusses his latest book, The New Breadline.

In his award-winning book "The New Breadline: Hunger and Hope in the 21st Century", aid worker Jean-Martin Bauer offers a compelling and compassionate exploration of how the world’s relationship with food is being transformed. The New Breadline is a call to action on the issues of food aid, food security and climate justice, told from the frontlines of hunger. Jean-Martin Bauer dissects inequity and racism in the humanitarian system asking: when decisions about food are being made, who isn't at the table?

In partnership with The Hague Humanity Hub, UN OCHA’s Centre for Humanitarian Data will host a conversation around The New Breadline and the human story of hunger.
