The new DFE Reading Framework : An essential overview for Primary Schools
Event Information
About this event
This free CPD webinar from FFT will highlight important messages from the new Framework and key areas where schools may want to develop their practice further.
The Framework, published in July 2021, is the first major DfE report on reading since the 2014 National Curriculum programme of study and the 2006 Rose Review. It clearly underpins Ofsted’s increasing focus on reading, apparent in the latest inspection framework.
The publication provides a helpful reminder on some key elements of practice, as well as raising the profile of some elements of the curriculum.
What will I learn?
Teachers, school leaders and literacy leads will gain a quick understanding of the key points of the new Framework, key action points to take and areas to develop.
Everyone attending will be sent a recording of the session and the slides, to share with their colleagues. There will be a short introduction, a 40 minute overview and 10 minutes for questions.
