The fruit of a ground breaking international conference is to be launched at Leeds Trinity University on Tuesday 24th March. The book The New Evangelization: Faith, People, Context and Practice is set to become a definitive resource in the years ahead as the Catholic Church re-proposes the gospel in the secularised cultures.
The evening will begin at 6.30pm with Sung Vespers of the Vigil Annunciation presided over by The Right Reverend Marcus Stock, Bishop of Leeds.
After a drinks reception later in the evening, Michelle Moran, a member of the Pontifical Council of the Laity, will speak on "The New Evangelization: Our Unfolding Mission."
Michelle is to be a key-note speaker at this year’s Proclaim 15, the national Catholic Evangelisation conference of the Catholic Bishops of England and Wales in Birmingham in July. Michelle is also the President of the International Catholic Charismatic Renewal Services in Rome.
Anna Turton, Commissioning Editor of Bloomsbury, will introduce the book The New Evangelization: Faith, People, Context and Practice and you will have an opportunity to buy a copy at a discounted price.
The evening will close with the showing of a 20-minute film, "Leeds Trinity and The New Evangelization" which shows how Leeds Trinity students and graduates are sharing their faith with others.
So please join us for an evening of spirituality, literature and great company.
Tickets are free for this event.
