Event description

Description

This important FREE event is jointly sponsored by Cardiff University School of Geography and Planning and Planning Aid Wales.

The Welsh Government has asked the Law Commission to put forward proposals to consolidate and simplify Planning Law in Wales.

This event provides an opportunity to hear about the Commission's key proposals, and to ask questions during the consultation period (which ends on 1st March).

Our keynote speaker is Dr Charles Mynors, who joined the Law Commission to head up this project. He is a prominent planning lawyer, and a former member of Francis Taylor Building chambers in London; he is also qualified as a planner and a chartered surveyor.

Our second speaker is Neil Harris, Senior Lecturer in Statutory Planning at Cardiff University.

The event will end with a Q&A session chaired by James Davies, Chief Executive of Planning Aid Wales.
