Overview:

Do you want to learn more about developing yourself and/or your organisation to not only be non-racist, but actively anti-racist? This vital difference will be explored in this session, along with ways of implementing change to the behaviour of individuals and the culture and practice within organisations. Set both in the context of 'lived experience' of a Muslim woman and experiences of other ethnicities and cultures.

Learning objectives:

  • Briefly explain what it means to be 'anti-racist', both as an individual and an organisation.
  • Identify the impact upon someone who has 'lived experience' of racism.
  • Explore some ways of working with, and understanding, adults of other beliefs.
  • Examine the 'lived experience' of a Muslim woman born and raised in England.
