The Night I Died
Event Information
Description
BBC Radio 4’s VIV GROSKOP presents THE NIGHT I DIED, a celebration of the joys and horrors of live performance.
Featuring:
Lucy Porter (Argumental, Mock the Week, Never Mind the Buzzcocks)
Scott Capurro (Perrier Award winner)
Jane Bussmann (Smack the Pony, Brass Eye)
& Tom Allen (BBC New Comedy Award winner)!
This chat show-slash-therapy session features our best comedians and raconteurs talking about the worst experiences of their lives. Stage deaths, hecklers from hell, the moments when you dry and your mind goes completely blank, the time when you drank more than you should have done (or worse), the time when you really lost it, the fight that broke out in that basement dungeon in Croydon… It's all here.
This is a seat-of-the-pants, wart-and-all peak behind the stage curtains about what it's really like to be up there in the glare of the lights, dying on your arse in front of everyone.
The Night I Died…don’t fear the heckles, fear the SILENCE.
NB - there will be filming taking place during the evening for a promotional video for Viv's forthcoming book, 'I Laughed, I Cried', published by the Orion Group. By attending you consent to being filmed.
