The Noise of Ice: A contemporary photographer’s response to Antarctica

The Italian photographer Enzo Barracco has worked all over the world during a career in fashion, fine art and commercial photography, but no assignment has ever taken him to such a remote yet beautiful place as Antarctica. Join Enzo as he describes his photographic work in Antarctica, inspired by the original images captured by Frank Hurley, the official photographer and film-maker on the ‘Endurance’ expedition.

His very personal account relates the dramas involved in crossing the Drake Passage to reach Antarctica, the challenge of photography and the moments of fear and exhilaration provided by being at the end of the world, set against the searing beauty of this great wilderness.
