The perfect opportunity for Local Action Groups from across the NE to come together for a day of sharing, connecting, plotting and planning.

Our Summer Action Gathering is a friendly, inclusive event for everyone in Friends of the Earth Local Action Groups and wider environmental justice activist network.

If you are taking action for climate justice, we want you to be there. If you are committed to building a more diverse, more powerful climate justice movement, we need you. And if you need help to get started, we’ll be there to help.

We encourage you to come by public transport if at all possible. The venue is:

Ticket information

Tickets are free: But please bear in mind we plan the event and order refreshments based on the registrations, and we have limited tickets. Please only book a ticket if you intend to come!

Young people: Under 16s need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian, or responsible adult (with parental consent). 16 and 17 year olds can attend unaccompanied (with parental consent required in advance). Unfortunately, we are not able to offer childcare provision.

Cancellations: If you book a ticket, but subsequently find you can't attend, please cancel your ticket. This helps us know who is attending, plan the event, and offer your place to someone else.

Accessibility:

The main door to the building is usually locked and access is via an intercom.

The venue is fully accessible with step free access from the rear of the building but please let us know if you need us to come and meet you at the door.

There is an accessible toilet.

During this training we will use Powerpoint and take part in group work.

In addition we have the follow processes in place to support accessibility

• If you require a BSL interpreter or language interpreter please contact community@foe.co.uk two weeks before the training and we will aim to book an expert this service. If there are no available interpreters, we will work with you to do whatever we can to support your engagement in the training.
• PowerPoints and handouts will be emailed prior to training.
• We welcome carers and support workers to attend training alongside any participants. Please let us know when registering so we can ensure that you are paired in any group activities.
