Organiser Bolton and District IAM RoadSmart Group

Organiser of The Northern Electric Car Show

As a group, we are all volunteers who are dedicated to improving driving standards on Bolton’s busy and congested roads by guiding drivers through a recognised advanced driving course up to the advanced driving test standard. The group is a registered charity, and being volunteers we receive no payment for helping drivers to become more confident, more observant and therefore safer drivers to the benefit of everyone in our community.

We run four courses per year, in February, May, August and November. Each one lasts approximately ten weeks, but as people learn at different rates some courses can be longer, some can be a bit shorter.

We encourage everyone who comes along to drive to a higher standard, so that they not only find driving more enjoyable, but become more observant and appreciative of exactly what is going on around them.
