The Nottingham Emmanuel School Chaplaincy Conference 2017
Sat 29 April 2017, 09:30 – 14:00 BST
We would like to invite you to join us on Saturday 29 April 2017 from 9:30am to 2.00pm for a one day Chaplaincy Conference at The Nottingham Emmanuel School. The theme of the day will be ‘Living the life: Deepening our sense of value’ and we will be exploring further the values of community, dignity, wisdom and hope as outlined in the recent Church of England Vision for Education document. We have a range of interesting and engaging speakers who will present and lead key note speeches and interactive talks on the day, including:
Karina Martin - Founder and CEO of Upbeat Communities, a charity that delivers a range of services to help refugees settle in the UK and begin to thrive in their new environment.
Dr Ian Paul - Theologian, author, speaker, academic consultant, associate Minister at St. Nic’s Nottingham, Managing Editor of Grove Books and a member of General Synod.
Ruth Rice - Pastor at New Life Baptist Church. Ruth was a primary school teacher for many years and is passionate about helping people connect with God and each other and helping all ages find balance in their lives.
There is no charge for the event and lunch will be provided. If you would like to join us for what promises to be an exciting and engaging day then please do reserve your place using the Eventbrite online registration system.
