The NPPF Decoded – A Practical Problem-Solving Workshop - North East
Tue 13 June 2017, 09:30 – 16:30
This course is a practical workshop aimed at encouraging the consistent and efficient delivery of the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) amongst Development Management Planning staff. Led by speakers from a range of Historic England departments, the course will tackle key problem topics through a mixture of group discussions, case study exercises and expert panels.
By the end of the course delegates will be able to interpret and apply the NPPF in a balanced and proportionate manner, and to articulate their views in a way which is less likely to be challenged.
This course is open to both Local Authority Development Management Planners and private sector practitioners. In order to take part delegates need to have a working knowledge of the NPPF, have read the Historic England Good Practice Advice Notes 1-3, and have completed a pre-course questionnaire.
