About this event

A morning exploring avian architecture and parental instincts.

Enter the mind of a broody bird parent and explore the ever changing parenting strategies that lead to an extraordinary variety of bird nest creation. Discover how differences in bird species form unique nurserys and lead to life altering changes in chick-raising experiences. Why do some birds build elaborate silk palaces while others settle for muddy baskets?

Through stories, images, and discussion, you’ll gain a deeper appreciation for the ingenuity and devotion that goes into every nest—because when it comes to raising chicks, no detail is too small.
