Event description

Description

The Manchester Centre for Health Economics (MCHE) is delighted to announce that we will be holding a free afternoon conference to officially launch ourselves as a Centre within the Institute of Population Health.

Designed to appeal to anyone with an interest in health economics and in collaborating with the Centre, the conference will take you on a tour of health economics and the evolution of the Centre from where it started to where it is going.

The conference will take place on Thursday the 28th of November 2013 in the MANDEC building.

A buffet lunch will be provided from 12pm with the conference starting promptly at 1pm and running until 4.30pm.

We are extremely privileged to have the esteemed Professor Alan Maynard as Keynote speaker. Widely regarded as one of the world’s leading health economists, Prof. Maynard was instrumental in establishing the discipline we currently know as Health Economics .

An informal drinks reception will also be held immediately following the conference until 5.30pm, which everyone is welcome to attend.

It would be our pleasure if you would come along and celebrate this special occasion with us.
