About this event

Dear friends, family, and colleagues,

We warmly invite you to join us in celebrating the life and ongoing legacy of the work of Prof Klaus Wedell, who sadly passed away in October 2022. Throughout his work, Klaus had a significant impact on special education policy, research and practice, as well as on the lives of colleagues, students and children.

To honor his legacy, we are planning to host a roundtable event followed by a wine reception at UCL on Thursday, April 20th 2023, from 5-7 pm.

The event will be chaired by Prof Julie Dockrell and hosted by the department of Psychology and Human Development and the Centre for Inclusive Education at the Institute of Education, UCL.

To honour Klaus’ contributions, roundtable participants including Gill Brackenbury (Director of UCL IOE Centre for Inclusive Education), Nick Peacey (UCL IOE), Dr Nicola Grove (University of Kent), Prof Brahm Norwich (University of Exeter), Prof Geoff Lindsay (University of Warwick) and Dr Zachary Walker (UCL IOE) will come together to discuss Klaus' ongoing influence on policy, practice, research, teaching and learning within the field of special educational needs and disabilities.
