Event description

Description

The University of Westminster African and Caribbean Society present The Original Revolution. We at The Original Revolution will be honouring Black History month in the form of a Poetry Slam. We welcome all, students, non-students, young, not-as-young, Black, White and Purple to attend. There will be poets, spoken word artists and other performances on the night. There will also be an opportunity to sign up for Open Mic. Come along for a chilled vibe and connect with others through the medium of performance art. It will be held in the Deep End in the Regent Street campus, which is a 5 minute walk from Oxford Circus station.

Throughout the night there will be opportunities to donate money to Diaspora Gives Back, a student-led campaign who are fundraising for the victims of Hurricaine Irma in the Caribbeans and victims of the mudslides in Sierra Leone.
