This is a crash course in all things paediatric habilitation, these sessions are aimed at audiologists wanting to expand their knowledge in the management of amplification in babies and children.
The first presentation, ‘Early Fitting of Amplification Best Practice Guidelines’ will explore the initial fitting of hearing aids from ABR thresholds, considerations when performing paediatric fittings, methods of verification (including frequency lowering), validation and ongoing management pathways.
The subsequent presentations will explore the different types of hearing aid amplification options available, when these should be considered, and management of hearing aids in older children as well as the importance of the multidisciplinary team around the child.
