The Past, Present & Future - Introduction to PTSD for professionals.

This event is brought to you by A J Case Management and Lanyon Bowdler, both of whom are members of the Armed Forces Covenant. Training is being delivered by Defence Medical Welfare Service.

  • Treatment outcomes to include risks if no treatment and impact on other rehab
  • Getting help and available resources

Hosted by Louise Howard of Lanyon Bowdler

Louise Howard is an associate solicitor with over ten years litigation experience. She has a particular interest in military claims and psychiatric injury. A keen believer in rehabilitation, Louise works closely with local agencies brought together by the Armed Forces Covenant to assist in support for the armed forces community.

Missy L. Sell CNS, SANE, CFRN, FP-C, MIW Mental Health First Aid England Instructor

Missy Sell has spent her entire career in the medical field in one aspect or another, and most of that time educating others. She works full time for St. John and Red Cross Defence Medical Welfare Service.

Mark Perryman MStJ Training Manager & Mental Health First Aid Instructor

Mark Perryman served in the Royal Air Force and Royal Auxiliary Air Force as a medic. Working in primary, secondary care, and aeromedical evacuation as a Flight Medic. He has also been a civilian paramedic in ground and air roles.

Matthew Bispham MC

Matthew Bispham MC served 12 years as a Royal Marine before medical discharge as a result of PTSD. Matt was awarded the military cross for his bravery on his first tour of Afghanistan in 2007. His experiences on tour led to the development of PTSD and eventually led to his medical discharge. Matt will be discussing adjustment to living with PTSD.

Cost: £95.00. Includes buffet lunch and refreshments.
