About this event

The Convenzis Patient Flow conference series provides a platform for NHS urgent care professionals and clinical specialists to meet and discuss changes in national policy and strategic change. Over 1500 delegates have already joined us and benefited from this high-value networking and research platform.

“First of all, can I just say what a good event it was yesterday. I personally took a lot of good ideas away from the day and made some good working connections, which will hopefully help us improve things for patients here in C&P.” Head of Transformation, Performance and Delivery – Urgent Care at Cambridgeshire & Peterborough CCG

The COVID-19 outbreak undoubtedly triggered the most challenging year the NHS has ever faced, however, the outbreak, has by default, provided a springboard for NHS facing innovation and technology adoption.

A&E attendances and emergency admissions also saw a significant reduction, the total number of attendances in January 2021 was 1,310,800, a decrease of 38.0% on the same month last year. Of these, attendances at type 1 A&E departments were 29.1% lower when compared with January 2021 and at type 3 departments were 53.4% lower.

As a key objective within the NHS Long Term Plan, NHS E/I have developed a paper that sets out how urgent and emergency care provision will be developed, drawing on outcomes and learnings from the Covid-19 outbreak.

The paper aims to deliver improved outcomes and a better experience of care, whether that is by phone or online from NHS 111, at home from a paramedic, in a GP practice or pharmacy, or when necessary, in the emergency department.

The strategy has 5 key areas of focus.

Building capacity

Improving remote access to urgent care services

Affecting public behaviours

Managing hospital occupancy

Measuring what matters

Join us at our Urgent Care Conference as we explore central plans and share local best practices from across the UK.

This conference has been developed as a platform to help NHS and wider healthcare professionals sharpen their knowledge on the latest best practice and national policy. We are proud to offer all NHS staff and healthcare professionals from low-income counties fully funded, complimentary delegate passes.
