THIS IS A TICKET TO THE RECORDING OF THE LIVE EVENT, WHICH YOU WILL RECEIVE IN AN EMAIL AFTER THE LIVE EVENT HAS FINISHED.
*Please allow 24-48 hours for the recording to be sent to you*
Rethinking your career and sitting on creative ideas? Discover how to take the first steps with Caroline & Alexandra, founders of Selkie Patterns. From putting your ideas into actions to crowdfunding, we will discuss how you can take the steps to Kickstarting your own creative business.
We will cover:
- How to zoom in on an idea: what's your business idea and who is your audience?
- How to choose the first steps: do you want to become a business or a freelancer?
- How to go about crowdfunding as a source of funding
All participants will receive a toolkit to use at home for brainstorming your ideas and a crowdfunding checklist. The unique checklist has been developed by us after succesfully running a crowdfunding campaign in 2018, raising £13000, and wanting to teach others about this so you can learn from others' mistakes!
This webinar will be held using Zoom. Participants will be unable to use cameras and microphones to keep the event running smoothly, but can use the chatbox to ask questions. The event will be recorded and will only be available for The Table members after the live event.*
*By purchasing a ticket you give your consent to the recording of the webinar with the knowledge that your name will not be visible in any part of the recording and that the session will be available on The Table membership platform. A separate ticket can be bought to the recording if you are unable to make the live event.
Your hosts: Caroline and Alexandra are the founders of Selkie Patterns, a startup launched on a successful crowdfunding campaign. They are recipients of the prestigious Eco-Age brandmark and authors of bestseller The Great British Sewing Bee: Sustainable Style. Selkie Patterns sells and creates dressmaking patterns, lifestyle patterns, textiles, digital resources and vintage haberdashery. They also operate The Table, a members' only platform with online classes, tutorials and interviews on sewing and sustainability.
The talk will be 45 minutes and we have 15 minutes allocated at the end for questions from the audience.
The webinar is free for members of The Table; all other guests pay a fee of £8.
