The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Bradford, Professor Brian Cantor hosts an annual lecture which brings distinguished speakers who are experts in their fields to Bradford.

This year is a very special lecture as the University of Bradford celebrates its 50th Anniversary.

The 50th Anniversary Lecture entitled "The Perfect Storm: The Multiple Crises Overrunning Britain" will be hosted on Wednesday 26 October and the speaker will be Will Hutton, Princpal of Hertford College Oxford, writer, economic, financial and business television and radio commentator and Chair of the Big Innovation Centre.

Will's career and experience in education, politics, media and as an author of books including "The State We're In", one of the top-selling books on political economy since 1945 will provide an excellent basis for this anniversary lecture.

Further lecture details will be published shortly.

Through public events the University of Bradford seeks to provide a forum for academics, students, experts in their fields and the public to discuss areas of work of the University and their relation to society.
