LONDON ART WEEK, CROMWELL PLACE AND THE PHILHARMONIA ORCHESTRA: A Dialogue between Art and Music
About this event
LAW is privileged to welcome members of the Philharmonia Orchestra to leading galleries across London. The Lavery Studio at Cromwell Place, Ben Elwes Fine Art, The Weiss Gallery, and Colnaghi will be transformed into a stage for a special series of chamber music concerts. In these unique settings, visitors will be able to explore and experience both art and music at the same time. These concerts are paired with expert tours of the exhibitions.
Premiering at Cromwell Place, a string trio of Philharmonia musicians will perform an approximately 1-hour long concert.
A one-hour guided tour starting at 12.30 will follow the performance exploring the exhibitions open at Cromwell Place.
The Cromwell Place Club Room will be open before and after the performance for hot drinks, refreshments and lunch. Tables for lunch can be booked here in advance.
For more information please contact mail@londonartweek.co.uk.
Please note: by purchasing the tickets you agree to share your data with the organisers of the event.
Introducing the Philharmonia Orchestra
Founded in 1945, the Philharmonia is an orchestra of 80 musicians, of 16 different nationalities led by Principal Conductor, Santtu-Matias Rouvali. Funded by Arts Council England and a family of supporters, the Orchestra has toured all over Europe, the USA, Japan and China, and their online performances are enjoyed by listeners from Fiji, Sudan and Indonesia to high above the Arctic Circle in Norway. The orchestra is based at the Southbank Centre, with residencies in Bedford, Canterbury, Leicester, Basingstoke, the Three Choirs Festival, and Garsington Opera.
