What is real, and what is an illusion? How is reality structured, and what lies at its core? Far from being abstract, these questions can shape how we live, how we see ourselves, and how we relate to the world around us.
Buddhist philosophy offers some fascinating answers to these questions. For Buddhists, exploring the big puzzles of life is not optional; it is a way to live more peacefully with greater clarity.
In this talk, Dr Emma Jaura explores Buddhist ideas, from Siddhartha Gautama’s enlightenment under the Bodhi tree to Nagarjuna’s radical vision of emptiness. Together, we will look at how Buddhist thought has evolved over time and what it can teach us today about identity, connection and reality.
