The Improv and Entertainment website The Phoenix Remix are pleased to announce their next live show themed on space and the future!

About this Event

The Improv and Entertainment website The Phoenix Remix are pleased to announce that in March they are heading to Space and the Future!

Come and join us at London Bridge at Hoopla Impro at the Miller as we bring some of your favourite articles on the website to life on the stage!

We will also be joined by some great improv and stand up comedy acts:

Improv

Improbotics -an experimental theatre company melding with AI and improvised comed

Doctor Whoprov - Two guards at the Matrix of the Timelords pass the time watching The Doctor's adventures (improvised scenes from audience suggestions).

The Caretakers - a London-based team that performs improvised long-form comedy. Our shows are inspired by Chicago-style long-form improv.

Canterbury Improv - Hooray! The youth of tomorrow will grow (most likely) and become our future. Presently, we are not growing (most definitely). Growth, progress, development… all topics for exploration in this deeply, seriously silly and sillily serious theatre production.

Do The Thing - A critically acclaimed Brighton based three-piece group specializing in making up overly ambitious fully fledged musicals with far too many characters for two people to play and way more songs than one musician should have to play.

More to be announced soon

Stand Up Comedy

Jenny Kassner - She’s German, on the right side of the hot/nerdy scale, and most notably, a millenial, making her the the kind of person market researchers call an ‘easy target’. An alumni of the Soho Theatre Young Comedy, So You Think You’re Funny 2018 semi-finalist, and 2Northdown New Act semi-finalist 2019.

Character Comedy

Alexander Fox - He's been described as "excellent" by Jack Dee, "a charismatic comedian with bags of potential" by The List, and "one of the most unique comic voices" by Theatre Weekly. He has written two solo shows, 'Ringo' and 'Snare', the latter featured as a 'Recommended Show' by The Guardian. He is also the creator of cult hit 'Shaken Not Stirred: The Improvised James Bond Film'.

Other

Retrofuture - In vaguely chronological order Dave is a roleplayer, game developer, improviser, and stand-up based in Cambridge. If they had enough spare energy left they'd probably spend it finding new, time-consuming hobbies. They're a little obsessed with stories, the ways we make them, and the surprising places we can find them.

Plus:

The Lost In Space Pop Quiz - how much pop music can you name themed on the world of Space? Well, at this show some and test your knowledge!

Plus prizes to be won and more to be announced!

Raising Money For The Douglas Bader Foundation

The Douglas Bader Foundation exists to advance and promote the physical, mental and spiritual welfare of persons who are born without or have lost one or more limbs, or otherwise physically disabled.
