Gregg McNeill and David Mitchell are photographers with many varied interests centered around photography, technology, the past and the future. They are also a bad influence on one another.
This event will take the form of a series of short presentations and demonstrations back and forth between the two. Amongst the topics to be covered are
- the earliest photographs of Stirling,
- building and using an Afghan Camera,
- Provost Christie (yes that one) photo album,
- the mysteries of found photography from junk shops and no doubt a myriad of random connections and information.

About Gregg
Gregg McNeill has enjoyed a successful film and digital photography career for over 25 years in the US and Scotland which is now home. His discovery of the wet plate collodion process invented in 1851 had a profound impact on him and his work largely centres on this magical process. He works on glass or tin plate, an authentic Victorian camera, and his experience and timing - most times things turn out great ! He has just finished a marathon session at the Edinburgh Festival taking street portraits using an Afghan box camera he built himself.
