The Pitch Competition - Virtual Workshop
Event Information
About this event
The Pitch is back and the challenge has been set by Samsung. This competition is designed to recognise and reward the marketing talent of the future. In teams of two or three, level 5 and 6 undergraduate students are tasked to tackle a real-life marketing challenge set by a leading global brand and if they impress the panel, they could win a prize to kick start their marketing career. The Pitch gives students the opportunity to apply their university studies to a real-life marketing challenge set by our sponsors, make their CV stand out from the crowd and win a prize from Samsung’s mobile device range.
The Challenge
“Samsung’s mobile devices, such as foldable mobile phones, tablets, headphones and watches, are at the cutting edge of portable technology. How can we use this innovation to communicate our ‘relentless pioneer’ brand DNA to Generation Z?”
How to enter
Universities and student teams must register by 04 December 2020. Once the registration has been received, competition materials and entry packs will be sent out which include all the information needed for students to complete their marketing presentation. The final submission for marketing presentations is 22 January 2021 and if successful your team will be invited to a live judging final on 19 March 2021, where they’ll present virtually to our panel of industry experts, including representatives from Samsung.
Angela Lawrence, Associate Dean Recruitment, is holding an information workshop for any student interested in taking part.
