Event description

Description

It looked like love. It felt like love. But this isn’t a love story.

Join Holly Bourne, award-winning author of
Am I Normal Yet?, as she shines a frank light on romance, heartbreak, and what a healthy relationship really looks like in her new YA novel, The Places I’ve Cried in Public. In discussion withTabitha Morton, the spokesperson for theWomen's Equality Party on ending violence against women, they’ll chat about romance, feminism, healthy relationships, what the #metoo movement means for young people, and of course, crying in public. After all, who hasn’t been that girl, sobbing at the bus stop? Tissues at the ready!
This event is done in partnership with Women’s Aid, with £1 from every ticket donated to support their work making sure every woman and child are safe.
Holly Bourne is a journalist and best-selling author, whose books are inspired by her work at an advice charity for young people, her own experiences of blatant everyday sexism, and her passion for getting everyone talking about the importance of mental health. Her works include the trail blazingly feminist Spinster Club series and the Sunday Times best-selling adult novel, How Do You Like Me Now?

Tickets for this event are £3 and can be booked online, with £1 from every ticket going to Women's Aid.

Holly will be signing copies of her new book at the event.
