The Plant Room - Garden Sessions 6
As part of our on-going collaboration with Tall Boys Beer Market, The Garden Sessions are creative workshops that celebrate plants, creativity and urban-growing.
We are very excited to be running an urban gardening workshop at Tall Boys Beer Market. Kokedama is a Japanese gardening technique and involves binding the roots of a plant in a ball of soil and moss. Kokedama, in its original Japanese form, was used to display sculptured bonsai trees on shallow ceramic trays. However, over time these sculptural orbs have been adapted to be hung, creating suspended string gardens containing many other beautiful plant types.
Whether you want to learn to create a floating indoor garden or display your kokedama in a more traditional way, come and join us for an evening of planty fun.
This workshop will be run by Zosia Berkieta-Lewis, founder of The Plant Room.
Experience Level and Materials
The workshop is a mixed level group and is for everyone. You don’t need to bring anything with you, as all materials and plants that are needed for the session will be provided. Included in the workshop will be some tasty treats for you to enjoy. A quality selection of craft beer and wine will be available to purchase from Tall Boys on the evening for you to sip on whilst you create.
