The PMDD Project: London Support Group (In Person)

By Samphire Neuroscience

Overview

After coming together for our “Neuroscience of PMDD” event, one thing was clear: people need connection. Join our PMDD support group.

About this event

After syncing up at The Neuroscience of PMDD, we saw a common theme: while information is powerful, what people really need is a place to connect. A real-world space to gather regularly, to feel seen, and to exhale among people who truly get it.

So we’re introducing the PMDD Project Support Group - a warm, welcoming space for anyone navigating, or supporting someone with, Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder. Held by The PMDD Project, with space and snacks ONLY provided by Samphire Neuroscience, this group offers connection, support, and understanding.

There’s no expectation to speak if you don’t want to. You’re welcome to listen quietly, participate gently, or simply be in the room with others who understand the emotional and physical intensity of PMDD. A formal diagnosis isn’t required.

Who this is for

This group is for you if:

  • You live with PMDD or strongly suspect you might
  • Your mood, energy, or relationships shift dramatically before your period
  • You’re craving connection with people who understand the lived reality of PMDD
  • You want a low-pressure, supportive environment to reflect, share, or just be

Partners and close loved ones may attend if they come with sensitivity and respect for the space.

What to expect

Our sessions gently include:

  • A grounding or low-pressure check-in
  • Optional sharing about experiences, symptoms, coping tools, and support needs
  • Space for the feelings often dismissed elsewhere - agitation, sadness, rage, relief, hope
  • Collective wisdom from people living with similar cycles and challenges

This is peer support, not therapy or medical care - but it is a space built with care, lived experience, and understanding.

Emotional safety

Conversations about PMDD can be intense. We’ll hold the space gently, but this is not a crisis support service. If you’re currently in crisis or feel unsafe, please reach out to emergency services or your local crisis line.

Come as you are

Comfortable clothes, messy feelings, quiet days, hopeful days, everything in between -  all of it is welcome here. You don’t have to explain PMDD from scratch. You don’t have to mask. You don’t have to be okay.

Just come as you are.
