About this event

Fashion

In partnership with Ivy Wild Academy, we invite you to a live panel discussion on The Politics of Black Hair.

This discussion will explore how beauty norms have historically regulated Black bodies, the labour demanded to meet these expectations, and the ways in which our communities resist, reclaim, and celebrate our hair.

We will examine how hairstyles serve as expressions of identity, self-determination, and resistance, while also addressing the internalised pressures that influence self-image.

Join us to honour and affirm Black hair and identity.
