How to be Happy in Work and Play

Join us for drinks and life lessons on happiness and wellbeing at our stunning riverside rooftop in the company of two inspirational authors – Telegraph journalist and mental health campaigner Bryony Gordon and award-winning broadcaster, Emma Gannon. Presenting two of the most hotly anticipated books of 2018, this is a night for the curious, conscious and connected, brought to you in partnership with The Pool.

Journalist and mental-health campaigner Bryony Gordon took the world by storm with her extraordinary and brave memoir Mad Girl. This time, we join her in Eat, Drink, Run as she trains for the London Marathon, opening our eyes to the horrors of leopard print leggings, nappy-rash level chaffing and severe boob bruising. Despite all this, Bryony DOES cross the finish line. And in doing so, shows us that extraordinary things can happen, no matter what life throws at us, if we’re just willing to keep going.

Award winning broadcaster, Emma Gannon, is at the forefront of business, technology and career development. Launching her own podcast in 2016, interviewing guests form around the world including Lauren Laverne and Lily Cole, she offers compelling insights on creating a little more balance in your career life. The Multi-Hyphen Method is the tool everyone needs to beef up their bio and channel their entrepreneurial spirit. If you need help navigating your way through the modern working world - this is the book for you!

We are delighted to announce that this fantastic evening will be chaired by Sam Baker, Co-founder of the award-winning digital platform, The Pool, as she interviews each author with a short reading and Q&A along the way.

Copies of Bryony Gordon’s Eat, Drink, Run plus Emma Gannon’s The Multi-Hyphen Method will be on sale from Waterstones on the evening. Tickets are £10 and include a welcome drink, nibbles and a tote bag.

Please arrive from 6:30pm for a prompt 7pm start. The event will finish at 8:45pm.
