FROM OVER THE HILLS AND FARAWAY HELP THE JOLLY POSTMAN DELIVER HIS LETTERS TODAY!

Special delivery! Sample The Jolly Postman literacy learning programme at The Postal Museum and take a toolkit of storytelling ideas back to school.

CPD TRAINING INCLUDES:

  • SAMPLE SESSIONS Journey with Rosie Postie back in time and across the curriculum on jolly postie missions to collect, sort and deliver the post.
  • BOOK-BASED LEARNING Led by the National Literacy Trust. Discuss reading for enjoyment and strategies for building anticipation and sustaining pupils’ interest in a story.
  • FACT AND FICTION Explore our galleries and find out how museum objects can make real and imagined connections to stories.
  • TIME FOR TEA Tea, cake and time to network and share ideas.

SNEAK PEEK AT SORTED! The Postal Play Space

Arrive between 17.00 - 17.30 for a sneak peek at Sorted! A miniature mail-themed world for children aged 8 and under.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

This event is for Early years and Primary school teachers. MAX TWO TEACHERS PER SCHOOL.

Trainee teachers are also welcome. On arrival you will be asked the name of your school or your course.
