The Postal Museum: Volunteer Information Sessions
Join the volunteer team at The Postal Museum!
The Postal Museum opens in mid-2017, bringing five centuries of communications history to life. It will reveal the surprising and fascinating story of the first social network, and make our extraordinary collections available and enjoyable for all. From interactive galleries to an immersive subterranean rail ride, modern research facilities to a wide-range of learning activities, The Postal Museum will offer something for everyone, from all backgrounds and all ages.
Why volunteer at The Postal Museum...
In the first year of opening we expect to welcome over 180,000 visitors through our doors with a further 400,000 through the public events programme, digital and outreach offers. We are currently looking for volunteers to help deliver a market leading visitor experience at The Postal Museum and Mail Rail and make a meaningful impact on how our stories are communicated. Alongside meeting new people, you will also have the opportunity to build on and develop key skills in the museum and heritage sector.
Become a volunteer
You are invited to attend a group volunteer information session where you will learn more about The Postal Museum, Mail Rail and the volunteer programme. These sessions form part of the volunteer recruitment process and anyone interested in volunteering with us should attend one.
Upcoming volunteer information sessions: Saturday 25 February and Thursday 6 April. Please choose one date with your ticket.
