Boost your curriculum with Heritage. Understand what it is, why it matters, and the part it plays in children’s learning and development.

The first in our webinar series: Enhancing the curriculum using heritage, place and the built environment.  

Heritage is a complex and rich concept.

This webinar will explore:  

  • Definitions and different types of heritage  
  • Why heritage matters and its role in developing identity and a sense of belonging.   
  • Practical examples of where and how heritage fits into both history and the wider school curriculum. 
  • Examples of teaching activities which explore children’s understanding of heritage  
  • What progression might look like in children’s understanding of heritage, from simple concrete observations and connections in EYFS to more complex and sophisticated knowledge and understanding in KS2.
