Join authors and map experts Barbara Bond and Peter Chasseaud for an evening of cartographic indulgence and history insight as they delve into the fascinating world of maps and the Second World War. From the fascinating MI9 Silk escape mapping programme that aided the escape of POW to mapping enemy lines to secure victory. Barbara will be sharing insights from her new book Great Escapes and Peter Chasseaud will bring to life the story of the maps that helped win the war, many from the archives of the Imperial War Museum and feature in his new book Mapping The Second World War. The evening will be hosted by former Honorary Secretary and Council Member of the Royal Geographical Society, Major General Roy Wood.
