About this event

In this interactive and practical session, former BBC business journalist and award-winning speaker, Penny Haslam, will discuss practical frameworks to show the value your organisation can bring and how to craft compelling stories from your business so you will stand out from AI.

Penny Haslam shares how storytelling can transform the way professionals communicate. With AI increasingly dominating content, it's more important than ever to express human value clearly and memorably.

Penny will show how to identify the value individuals and organisations bring and how to communicate it using compelling stories drawn from real experiences. These stories help underline key messages, build credibility and create deeper engagement with colleagues, clients and stakeholders.

The session includes tools such as the Value Proposition Canvas, the Key Message Matrix and the FACE model – all available as take-homes via a QR code.

Whether you’re delivering presentations, leading teams or simply wanting to communicate with more impact, this session offers an introduction to tools and techniques to stand out and connect:

  1. Recognise and articulate the value you and your organisation bring using practical frameworks that support confident communication.
  2. Develop compelling stories that underline key messages, build credibility and connect with your audience.
  3. Differentiate yourself from AI-generated content by using authentic, human storytelling in professional settings.
